Consistency Pays Off
Consistency pays off…..I started with only one person subscribed to my blog and now I am at seven. To most that may not seem like a large number. But for someone who started out late in the game (supposedly),with a negative bank account and her dreams of impacting and changing the world positively….THAT’S A BIG DEAL!
And everyday I operate in the mindset of where I see myself going..NOT where I am currently. So if that means I get up earlier than most, stay later than some and do what many aren’t willing to do than so be it.
The results of the fruit of my labor will show up strong if my consistency is on point. The same goes for you….YES YOU reading this blog, whatever Dreams and Goals you may have, they won’t accomplish themselves. You have to be willing to put in that work on a consistent and dedicated basis..NO IF’s , AND’s or BUT’s about it.
Below I have a few basic tips on staying consistent:
1. Have a set time
Train your brain and set your clock alarm to the same time everyday to either get up an hour early or go to bed an hour later to allow for time do invest in your success
2. Create an atmosphere
Set up a specific area in your living space that’s dedicated to you working only, nothing else! Make it cozy, comfortable filled with inspiring colors, smells and music to your liking
3. Have all material and ideas in one place
Whatever projects you maybe working on, make sure you have all your supplies and a notebook with the ideas (So important, will discuss the importance of notebooks/journal in an upcoming blog) in designated place. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in your work space if but that would be preferred, if that’s feasible.
4. Make the calendar your best friend
I put everything in my calendar, from “Me time” to business meetings to spending time with family and friends. When you take the time to put things in your calendar you eliminate overbooking and under resting..YEP I said It…UNDER RESTING.
5 . Remove distractions
When it’s time to work ….turn off the TV…stay off of social media (unless that’s your platform for your work) and don’t have unnecessary conversations. Your mind needs to free and clear to produce amazing creative results.
6. Most importantly TAKE YOURSELF and what you do SERIOUSLY
You CAN NOT expect others to respect you and what you represent if YOU DON’T!!! I hope this helps….AND REMEMBER to ROCK YOUR REBEL™ and always be YOU! -Listiner Inspires
